Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of college credits from an accredited institution, or
- An associate degree or higher, or
- Passing score on an approved formal academic assessment (such as ParaPro, ParaPathways, or The Master Teacher), or demonstration of competencies per the state’s approved list
- PCA certificate (or willingness to obtain one—training is free and can be completed in under an hour)
- Ability to provide proof of credentials prior to interview consideration
- Must attend a mandatory orientation session on Wednesdays at 1:30 pm if selected
Responsibilities:
- Offer individualized and classroom support to students in the district’s focus programs
- Assist with educational, behavioral, and developmental interventions as directed by certified teachers and special education staff
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive environment and help students achieve academic and social milestones
- Support classroom activities, accommodations, and transitions throughout the school day
