Support the educational journey of students as a substitute paraprofessional/education assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract, on-site position involves per diem shifts of 6.5 hours each day, filling in as needed to cover absences and provide consistent classroom assistance in the Saint Paul, MN area.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum one year of experience working professionally with school-aged children.
  • At least two years of college credits from an accredited institution, an associate’s degree or higher, or a passing score on an approved academic assessment (ParaPro, ParaPathways, The Master Teacher), or verification of competencies according to MDE standards.
  • PCA certificate, or willingness to obtain one (free and takes less than an hour).
  • Preferred: Two or more years’ experience as a school-based paraprofessional.
  • Professional, flexible, and ready to step into various classrooms and support student needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Step in as a substitute paraprofessional/education assistant for daily contractor call outs.
  • Work directly with students, supporting learning activities, classroom routines, and individual education programs as directed by teaching staff.
  • Assist teachers with classroom management and provide support for students with special needs.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment conducive to learning and engagement.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with staff and students.
