Instructional Aide in Saint Peters, MO

Three contract openings are available for full-time paraprofessionals for the 26/27 school year, supporting a dedicated special education team near Saint Peters, MO. This role offers the chance to work closely with students and educators in a collaborative and rewarding environment.

This position follows a Monday through Thursday schedule, from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm (with a 30-minute lunch break), providing 28 paid hours each week. The contract runs from August 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar educational support role is preferred
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to follow the direction of multiple team members, including teachers and related service professionals
• Flexibility and patience to work with students with diverse needs
• Dedication to maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist the classroom teacher in the daily instruction and supervision of students in special education
• Provide individual, small group, or large group support as needed
• Follow specific guidance from teachers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, behavior analysts, and social workers regarding student adaptations and modifications
• Prepare materials in advance to enhance learning and classroom experiences
• Foster a safe, respectful, and encouraging environment for all students
