Key Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required; Para Certification, Associate’s Degree, or Praxis strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in providing 1:1 support, particularly with elementary students.
• Demonstrated ability to implement behavior management techniques and maintain a clear, structured, and authoritative presence.
• Experience fostering independence and setting consistent boundaries.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teaching staff and related service providers.

Core Responsibilities:

• Work closely with a single student, implementing individualized supports as detailed in her education plan.
• Provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assistance throughout the school day.
• Help maintain classroom structure and safety, ensuring the student remains engaged and prepared for learning.
• Use positive reinforcement, redirection, and clear communication to promote appropriate behaviors and independence.
• Report on progress, challenges, and successes to teachers and parents.
