Instructional Assistant - San Anselmo, California

Support students’ growth as a Behavioral Aide in an engaging, full-time contract role for the full school year. This position focuses on fostering a positive learning environment and providing direct assistance to students and classrooms. Located near San Anselmo, CA, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful difference while collaborating closely with teachers and specialists.

Desired Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree required
• Prior experience as a paraprofessional or behavioral aide
• Strong background supporting children or adolescents in educational settings
• Preferred: Experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow behavior intervention plans and respond positively to challenges
• Patience, flexibility, and a true commitment to student success

Key Responsibilities:

• Work 1:1 or in small groups to support students in achieving academic, social, and behavioral goals
• Help implement educational and behavioral programs under the guidance of certified staff
• Reinforce classroom routines and expectations while encouraging positive behavior
• Monitor student progress and document observations for reporting and improvement
• Provide assistance during daily classroom activities and transitions
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support individualized student needs
• Respond professionally to crises, using de-escalation techniques as needed
