You'll work in-person across one site, with potential assignment at either Highlands High School or Mission Academy for the duration of the school year. The position begins as soon as possible and continues through late May 2027, providing a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours.

Key Qualifications:

• Must meet at least ONE of the following:
  • Hold an associate degree or higher
  • Completed a minimum of 48 college semester hours (recognized by Texas or regional educational agencies) and paraeducator course via Stedi.org, passing with 70% or better
  • Have pediatric or school-based experience with children with hearing loss
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Ability to pass fingerprinting/background check per regulations
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) essential
• Flexibility to move between Highlands High School and Mission Academy if needed

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom and individual support to students with hearing loss, including assisting with communication and academic engagement
• Collaborate with teachers and related service providers for inclusive educational experiences
• Offer guidance and reinforcement of classroom routines and assignments
• Assist with documentation and reporting as required
