Make a positive impact supporting students as a Paraprofessional in a contract position for the 26/27 school year. This is a 32.5 hour per week position from August 10, 2026, through May 28, 2027. You'll work closely with a student in a Special Day class, helping them succeed academically and socially.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paraeducator or paraprofessional in a school setting
- Background in supporting students with behavioral needs
- Bilingual Spanish speakers are highly preferred, but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and patience
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a student in a Special Day class environment
- Assist with implementing behavior management and academic strategies
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to meet student needs
- Support the student in navigating classroom routines and participating in activities
- Monitor and document student progress and behavior
