Bring your passion for supporting students to a fulfilling contract opportunity as a Paraprofessional for the upcoming 26/27 school year. This role will be focused on delivering individualized support to a student within a Special Day class environment, providing essential assistance that fosters a positive and productive learning experience.

This assignment offers a consistent weekday schedule from August 10, 2026, to May 28, 2027, for a total of 32.5 hours per week. In this role, your expertise as a paraeducator will be highly valued, particularly if you have a background working with students who present behavioral challenges.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Prior experience as a paraeducator or paraprofessional in a school setting
• Understanding of the unique dynamics and requirements of Special Day classes
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students requiring behavioral support
• Experience providing one-on-one student assistance
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred
• Patience, resilience, and excellent communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to a student with behavioral needs in a Special Day class
• Assist with classroom activities and modifications as directed by certified staff
• Implement positive behavior support strategies
• Help foster a welcoming and encouraging environment tailored to diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
• Document student progress and report observations to the instructional team
