Make a positive impact supporting students as a Paraprofessional in a contract position for the 26/27 school year. Based near San Francisco, CA, this full-time role is ideal for dedicated education professionals passionate about special education and inclusivity. This is a 32.5 hour per week position from August 10, 2026, through May 28, 2027. You'll work closely with a student in a Special Day class, helping them succeed academically and socially.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a paraeducator or paraprofessional in a school setting
  • Background in supporting students with behavioral needs
  • Bilingual Spanish speakers are highly preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills and patience
  • Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a student in a Special Day class environment
  • Assist with implementing behavior management and academic strategies
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to meet student needs
  • Support the student in navigating classroom routines and participating in activities
  • Monitor and document student progress and behavior
