Teacher's Aide - San Francisco, California

Your dedication will make a tangible difference, as paraprofessionals are placed where students need them most—this may include working with Pre-K through high school students or serving as a bus aide. Being adaptable, collaborative, and willing to assist with any assigned task (including feeding, toileting, or health-related supports) is essential for this role.

Qualifications:

• One of the following: Associate’s degree or higher, OR 48 college units and a high school diploma, OR passing the CBEST and possession of a high school diploma, OR passing the district’s instructional aide exam and a high school diploma.
• Flexibility to support students with a variety of needs, including personal care.
• Additional credentials (sign language, Braille, vocational nursing, health-related training) or experience with specific student needs are highly valued—please highlight any such experience or certification in your application.
• Willingness to complete required CPR/First Aid or district training modules.

Desired Experience:

• At least six months of paraprofessional experience in a school setting within the last two years.
• Comfort working with students who have significant behavioral, emotional, or medical needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional and behavioral support under teacher and campus guidance.
• Assist with toileting, feeding (including G-Tube management if trained), and mobility as needed.
• Actively contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• If serving as a bus aide, support safe student transportation and transitions to/from school.
