Qualifications:
- One of the following: Associate’s degree or higher, OR 48 college units and a high school diploma, OR passing the CBEST and possession of a high school diploma, OR passing the district’s instructional aide exam and a high school diploma.
- Flexibility to support students with a variety of needs, including personal care.
- Additional credentials (sign language, Braille, vocational nursing, health-related training) or experience with specific student needs are highly valued—please highlight any such experience or certification in your application.
- Willingness to complete required CPR/First Aid or district training modules.
Desired Experience:
- At least six months of paraprofessional experience in a school setting within the last two years.
- Comfort working with students who have significant behavioral, emotional, or medical needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional and behavioral support under teacher and campus guidance.
- Assist with toileting, feeding (including G-Tube management if trained), and mobility as needed.
- Actively contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- If serving as a bus aide, support safe student transportation and transitions to/from school.
