What You'll Do

• Provide direct instructional and behavioral support to students in 1:1 or small group settings under the guidance of a lead special education teacher.

• Assist in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans.

• Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.

• Support students with daily school activities, academic tasks, transitions, and social skills development.

• Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and school staff to track and document student progress.

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Associates degree or higher is preferred).

• Passing score on a state-approved Paraeducator exam (e.g., ParaPro Assessment) OR at least 48 college credit hours to meet California's paraprofessional requirements.

• Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school, early childhood, or special education setting.

• Strong communication skills, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
