Key Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Paraprofessional or Behavior Aide within a school setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with students and staff
  • Familiarity with strategies for supporting students with behavioral or special needs
  • Ability to remain patient, compassionate, and adaptable in dynamic educational environments
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or relevant certifications are a plus
  • Capable of following written and verbal instructions from teachers and support staff

Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) or behavior intervention plans
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, ensuring an inclusive and positive learning atmosphere
  • Monitor and document student behavior and progress throughout the day
  • Support with classroom management and reinforce positive behaviors using approved techniques
  • Communicate regularly with instructional staff and share observations or concerns promptly
  • Help maintain a safe, respectful, and encouraging classroom environment
