Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or supporting classroom instruction is preferred
• Familiarity with special education needs and individualized education plans (IEPs) is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with students and faculty
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability in responding to student needs
• A collaborative approach, working effectively with a multidisciplinary team
• High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or relevant certifications advantageous

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group instructional support under the direction of licensed teaching staff
• Assist in the implementation of lesson plans and classroom activities
• Support students with diverse learning and behavioral needs in achieving their educational goals
• Encourage positive social interactions and inclusive participation
• Aid in monitoring classroom behavior and maintaining a safe, respectful setting
• Help with daily classroom routines, organization, and preparation of learning materials
• Document student progress and communicate effectively with teachers regarding student needs
