What You’ll Bring:

  • Associate’s degree or higher, or at least 48 college units and a high school diploma, or successful completion of CBEST or the Instructional Aide Exam along with a high school diploma (as applicable per the position)
  • Experience working as a paraprofessional in a school setting for at least six months within the last two years preferred
  • Willingness and ability to assist with activities such as toileting, feeding, g-tube feeding, and other personal care tasks as needed
  • Relevant certifications such as CPR/First Aid, emergency training, or additional physical health care procedures (see individual role requirements)
  • Specialized skills like sign language fluency or Braille knowledge are highly valued for designated roles
  • Strong communication skills, flexibility to accept varied assignments, and a team-oriented approach

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Support students in classrooms and campus environments, following teachers’ and school staff direction
  • Assist with academic tasks, social-emotional activities, or health-related procedures, depending on assignment
  • Champion inclusion and positive behavior through engagement and encouragement
  • Supervise and support students during transportation, as required for bus aide positions

Assignment Details:

  • Shifts range from 4.5 to 8 hours per day, with weekly hours based on grade and role assignment
