Bring your passion for supporting children to an impactful role as a Bus Aide for the remainder of the 25/26 school year! Thirteen positions are available assisting students in Philadelphia, PA and several nearby communities including Aston, Morrisville, Plymouth Meeting, Ardmore, Radnor, Berwyn, Fort Washington, and Chester. This contract opportunity is ideal for those wanting consistent part-time hours and the chance for renewal—including Extended School Year and the 26/27 school year.
Each day, you’ll contribute to a safe, caring ride experience for students by working either one-on-one or with up to two students at a time. Schedules span 3 hours daily—split between morning and afternoon (typically 6:30-8:30 am and 2:30-4:30 pm)—making it a perfect fit if you’re seeking flexible, weekday work to align with a school calendar.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience as a Paraprofessional or Certified Nursing Assistant welcomed
- Prior work with children, particularly those with special needs
- Comfort and awareness in supporting positive behavior and utilizing de-escalation strategies
- Previous experience riding on school buses with students preferred
- Patience, reliability, and strong communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Join the bus driver in transporting students to and from their homes and schools
- Ensure each student’s safety and comfort during the ride
- Employ verbal de-escalation and supportive care as needed
- Build positive relationships with students and staff
- Work directly under site-based direction to support student needs
