Embark on a rewarding contract position supporting a 5th-grade student as a dedicated paraprofessional. This full-time opportunity begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year. The focus is individualized assistance to a student with mobility needs, ensuring they are supported throughout the school day.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting preferred
• Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living, including mobility support, eating, and personal care needs (such as changing)
• Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to student support
• Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with teaching staff and specialists
• Ability to adapt and provide encouragement while maintaining the student's dignity and independence

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one assistance to a 5th-grade student throughout the school day
• Support mobility by escorting the student between classes and activities
• Help with feeding, ensuring the student has access to meals and snacks as needed
• Attend to personal care needs, including bathroom breaks and changing, in a respectful and professional manner
• Work closely with the educational team to implement strategies and accommodations for the student’s success
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment and document daily activities as required
