Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred
• Understanding of child development and learning support practices
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers, students, and families
• Patience, flexibility, and a genuine desire to support student learning
• Ability to follow directions and implement instructional plans as directed by certified staff
• Possession of all necessary clearances and background checks for working in schools

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to students in classroom settings and during small group or one-on-one instruction
• Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities, classroom management, and daily routines
• Help implement accommodations and modifications according to student IEPs or 504 plans
• Encourage student independence and participation in class activities
• Support students with physical, self-care, or behavioral needs as required
• Maintain open communication with teachers and school staff regarding student progress and needs
