Assignments range from Multiple Disabilities Support to Enhanced Autistic and Emotional Support programs. Based on your preferences and site proximity, we’ll do our best to match you to a compatible classroom within 35 minutes of your home.
What we’re seeking:
- At least 1 year of direct paraprofessional or special education experience in a school setting
- Reside within 35 minutes of Lehigh County-area school sites
- Ability to reliably work a standard school schedule (anywhere from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM)
- Must meet one of Pennsylvania’s paraprofessional qualification requirements—or be willing to complete the state certification process within 60 days of hire (details provided)
- Comfortable with the duties of a special education setting, including assisting with behaviors, occasional lifting, toileting/diapering, and supervision of student safety
- References from two recent paraprofessional supervisors (minimum scoring standard applies)
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
Your responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers and specialized programs by assisting with instructional activities, daily routines, and behavioral interventions
- Foster an inclusive, positive environment for students with varying needs
- Maintain accurate communication with teaching staff and supervisor as needed
- Implement individualized plans and accommodations
