Make a real difference in the lives of students with multiple disabilities by partnering with a dynamic school program for the upcoming 2026–2027 academic year. Paraprofessionals are needed to provide compassionate support in a Level B Multiple Disabilities Support (MDS) classroom, delivering hands-on assistance and ensuring students’ physical, academic, and behavioral needs are met throughout the school day.

Key Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a paraprofessional, instructional assistant, or in a special education setting is strongly preferred
  • Meet one PA paraprofessional qualification (48 college credits, associate degree or higher, or approved state/local assessment), or ability to obtain PA certification within 60 days of hire
  • Comfortable supporting students with significant needs, including personal care, mobility, feeding, toileting, and hygiene
  • Calm, patient demeanor with the ability to manage challenging behaviors, follow safety protocols, and assist with classroom routines and sensory accommodations
  • Reliable transportation, with the ability to commute within 35 minutes of the site and be present for a full school-day schedule (approx. 7:00 AM–3:30 PM)

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct student support, including personal care and behavioral assistance
  • Assisting with communication needs and classroom transitions
  • Keeping students engaged and safe, responding consistently to behavioral episodes and redirecting as needed
  • Collaborating with classroom staff to carry out individualized education programs and daily activities
