This contract opportunity offers consistent, part-time hours in the mornings and afternoons, serving schools in the Seattle area and nearby communities. Key Qualifications:
- Experience as a paraprofessional, bus aide, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Familiarity with working 1:1 or 2:1 with children or individuals needing support
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to maintaining student safety and well-being during transit
- Dependability and punctuality, especially during early morning and afternoon hours
- Ability to adapt and respond to the unique needs of each student
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive care and assistance to assigned students while riding the school bus
- Ensure safe boarding, seating, and exiting for all assigned students
- Foster a secure and welcoming environment throughout each bus ride
- Support students with special needs as required, which may include mobility or behavioral assistance
- Communicate effectively with bus drivers, school staff, and families
- Uphold all safety guidelines and confidentiality policies
Schedule Highlights:
- 3 hours per day (split between AM & PM), totaling 15 hours per week
- AM shifts: generally between 6:30 am and 8:30 am; PM shifts between 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm
- Contract runs ASAP through May 29, 2026
