Take part in supporting local students by serving as a Bus Aide in the Seattle, WA area. This contract position offers the chance to work directly with students who need 1:1 or 2:1 supervision during their commute to and from school. As a vital part of the daily routine, you'll help ensure a safe, positive environment for all passengers.
Key Details:
- Contract position available immediately through May 29, 2026
- Schedule: 15 hours per week (3 hours per day)
- Split shift: 90 minutes in the morning and 90 minutes in the afternoon
- Typical hours: 6:30 am – 8:30 am and 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm (site dependent)
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) highly valued
- Commitment to providing attentive, compassionate 1:1 or 2:1 care
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with students, drivers, and staff
- Patience, reliability, and a caring demeanor toward students with a variety of needs
- Familiarity with school environments and protocols
Responsibilities:
- Accompany students on the bus to ensure safety and comfort throughout the route
- Offer hands-on support and guidance to assigned students as needed
- Communicate clearly with bus drivers, school staff, and families regarding student needs
- Assist with boarding and disembarking procedures, including specialized equipment if required
- Respond appropriately to situations that arise, maintaining a secure environment
