Classroom Aide | Sebastopol, California

Jump into an impactful opportunity supporting middle school students as a paraprofessional for the remainder of the school year. You'll be a key partner in classrooms, helping students reach their full potential while working closely with teachers and staff. This contract position begins ASAP and extends through the end of the school year.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Experience in educational settings, preferably as a paraprofessional in schools
• Ability to build rapport with middle school students and maintain a positive, patient, and encouraging demeanor
• Flexibility to adapt to varied classroom and student needs throughout the day
• Familiarity with implementing teacher-developed lesson plans and providing academic or behavioral support
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators and supporting students from diverse backgrounds
• Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to maintaining a consistent presence until the end of the school year

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students individually or in small groups with assignments, activities, and reinforcing lessons
• Support classroom management and ensure a safe, inclusive classroom environment
• Help students with special needs access curriculum and participate fully in school life
• Contribute to the planning and organization of instructional materials and classroom resources
• Provide feedback to teachers about student progress and areas of growth
• Supervise students during non-classroom times, such as transitions, recess, or lunchtime
