Qualifications:

• Must meet at least one of the following education or assessment criteria:
  • Successfully completed at least two years of college (60 semester credits or the equivalent) from an accredited institution
  • Hold an associate degree or higher
  • Achieved passing status on an approved formal assessment or competency grid, such as the Parapro Test
• Previous experience as a school paraprofessional or in a supporting educational role is valued
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, teachers, and staff
• Adaptable, patient, and ready to engage with a diverse student population

Responsibilities:

• Work under the direction of classroom teachers and special education staff to provide instructional support
• Assist with individualized and group learning activities
• Foster a positive classroom environment through encouragement and guidance
• Support students with varying academic, behavioral, and personal care needs
• Monitor and document student progress as directed
