Teacher's Aide - Shakopee, Minnesota

Exciting contract opportunities are available for dedicated Paraprofessionals to make a meaningful impact in educational settings near Shakopee, MN. These full-time roles are essential to supporting both students and educators in dynamic classroom environments, fostering learning, and providing crucial assistance throughout the school day.

Two positions are currently open:

• High School (Grades 9-12): Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM - 2:45 PM
• English Language (K-12): Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM - 3:45 PM

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in similar school support roles
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and students
• Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude working with children and adolescents
• Willingness to support students with diverse backgrounds, including English Language Learners (for the K-12 opening)
• High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in education or related field is a plus)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional and behavioral support to students under teacher guidance
• Assist with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and daily routines
• Support individual students or small groups to reinforce lessons and activities
• Help maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Monitor students in various settings, including classrooms, hallways, and lunch areas
• Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student success
