Qualifications:

• Experience as a Paraprofessional in a school environment strongly preferred
• Ability to comfortably work with high-school aged students
• Understanding of transition programs or willingness to learn
• Flexible, adaptable nature—able to move between different classrooms and responsibilities as needed
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills
• Patience and a supportive attitude towards students of varying abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to high-school students, both inside and outside the classroom, adapting strategies to meet diverse needs
• Assist educators in delivering lessons and facilitating student engagement
• Collaborate with transition program staff to help students prepare for post-secondary life, vocational training, or community integration
• Track and document student progress and assist in maintaining a structured environment
• Address behavioral needs and foster positive relationships with students and staff
• Respond quickly to changing schedules and assignments throughout the day
