This contract opportunity is designed for paraprofessionals who are credentialed, proactive, and ready to make a positive impact with short notice. Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active paraprofessional credential, fully compliant and ready to be activated within 2–3 days’ notice
- At least 2 years of prior experience working as a school paraprofessional, behavior technician, registered behavior technician, or closely related position
- Extensive experience in special education throughout those two years—this is a strict requirement
- Flexibility to work with all age groups and caseloads
- Willingness to assist with all aspects of student care, including toileting and diapering, if needed
- Punctuality and professional reliability; accurate completion of mandatory timesheets via sign-in and sign-out
- Comfortable with a waitlist scenario — placement is not guaranteed immediately
Role Responsibilities:
- Support teachers and students in varied classroom environments as assigned
- Follow all district processes for student care and safety
- Maintain clear, professional communication with faculty, staff, and families
- Track student progress as requested by supervising educators
- Provide hands-on assistance and adapt to evolving student needs daily
