1:1 Teacher's Aide - Skowhegan, Maine

Step into a rewarding Education Technician opportunity supporting schools near Skowhegan, ME! Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–2:15 pm. The role is set to begin as soon as possible and will continue through the end of the school year, with a possible chance of renewal based on program needs.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Ed Tech III certification in the state of Maine—this is a must.
• Demonstrated experience as a Paraprofessional or Education Technician, ideally in K-12 settings.
• Previous 1:1 student support experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
• Ability to assist with academic, behavioral, and physical needs as directed by leading teachers or school administration.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a compassionate approach with students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students under the direction of classroom teachers.
• Support individualized learning plans and help students stay engaged and motivated.
• Collaborate with teachers and specialists to address students’ unique learning or behavioral needs.
• Assist with daily classroom management and maintain a safe, energetic classroom atmosphere.
• Adapt classroom materials or activities to optimize student engagement and learning.
