Instructional Assistant - South Bend, IN

• Experience supporting classroom teachers as a paraprofessional, particularly within K-12 settings.
• Strong understanding of core subjects, and ability to assist in reading, writing, and mathematics instruction.
• Capability to work with students at different developmental stages, specifically those in elementary or high school.
• Knowledge of strategies to promote reading readiness.
• Sensitivity and responsiveness to the needs of English Language Learners, ensuring an inclusive and welcoming classroom.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting certified teachers in classroom management, lesson reinforcement, and individual or small group instruction.
• Delivering direct support to students who benefit from additional assistance in reading, writing, and math.
• Contributing to the development and implementation of educational activities tailored to students' learning levels.
• Supporting English Language Learners with activities and materials that foster language acquisition and academic achievement.
• Participating in team meetings, professional development, and regular communication with teachers and school personnel.
