Make a genuine difference in the life of a young learner as a Paraprofessional with expertise in American Sign Language (ASL)! Work closely with a Kindergarten student, providing meaningful one-on-one support in a welcoming and inclusive classroom near Springfield, MO. What You’ll Do:

  • Offer personalized, 1:1 support for a Kindergarten student with communication needs
  • Use fluent ASL to facilitate effective understanding and expression
  • Collaborate with dedicated teachers and staff to meet academic, social, and emotional milestones
  • Foster a nurturing environment using individualized instruction and positive reinforcement
  • Help create engaging activities that encourage participation and growth

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Warm, patient, and deeply committed to supporting young children
  • Fluent in ASL or a strong background in sign language interpreting
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Experience in early childhood education, classroom support, or special education is highly valued
  • Hold, or can obtain, a Missouri DESE Paraprofessional or Substitute Certificate (preferred but not required)
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to engage at a child’s level—on the floor, through play, and interactive activities
  • Consistent transportation for daily attendance

You’ll work Monday–Thursday/Friday for 30 hours a week, immersed in a collaborative environment that prioritizes each student’s growth and well-being.
