What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous paraprofessional experience in a school setting
- Strong desire to assist students with special needs
- Familiarity with data collection and eagerness to collaborate within a team
- Knowledge of special education laws, individualized education plans (IEPs), and best practices
- Ability to modify instructional strategies for students with diverse learning abilities
- Skilled in monitoring student progress using varied assessment methods
- Experience assisting students with challenging behaviors and physical disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, teachers, and families
- Organized, reliable, with strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to helping children grow
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct classroom and individualized support to students and teachers
- Assist with implementing and adapting IEPs under teacher guidance
- Support positive classroom dynamics and promote an inclusive environment
- Collect, track, and report on student progress as directed
- Collaborate effectively with staff, families, and related service providers
