Special Education Para Professional in Stewartville, MN

Make a difference every day supporting student success as a full-time Paraprofessional providing dedicated 1:1 assistance in a school setting near Stewartville, MN. This contract position begins ASAP and runs through June 3. You'll play a vital role in fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students who need individualized attention, working side-by-side with educational professionals to positively impact academic and social development.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Experience as a Paraprofessional or similar support role within schools preferred
• Completed all required paraprofessional testing
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with students and staff
• Demonstrated patience, empathy, and adaptability when supporting students with diverse needs
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a positive, professional attitude
• Able to start promptly and commit through the end of the school year
• Available for interviews on Tuesday, 10/13

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct 1:1 support to a designated student, assisting with daily academic tasks and classroom participation
• Work closely with teachers and special education staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioral strategies
• Maintain careful supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of the student at all times
• Assist in modifying instructional materials to meet the student’s needs
• Encourage social interaction and independence while providing appropriate guidance
• Document progress and communicate updates to relevant staff as needed
