Make a lasting difference in the life of an elementary student by supporting their educational journey as a paraprofessional fluent in American Sign Language. This contract opportunity is based near Stillwater, MN, and offers the chance to work one-on-one with a young student who recently completed Kindergarten and now has a dedicated ASL paraprofessional included in their IEP.

In this highly rewarding position, your ASL skills will provide essential communication access, helping the student fully engage with learning activities at Forest View Elementary. Whether you bring a foundation in basic signing or are fluent in ASL, a willingness to continue developing your language proficiency is key.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience as a paraprofessional, particularly in a school setting
• Proficiency in American Sign Language — basic knowledge with strong commitment to advance, or fluency
• Enthusiasm for supporting students with unique communication needs
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators and IEP teams
• Reliability and a compassionate, student-centered mindset
• Comfortable with commute within the Forest Lake area, given its large geographic spread

Key responsibilities:

• Provide consistent one-on-one support to an elementary student, focusing on ASL-based communication
