Make a real difference in students’ lives by supporting their success in an inclusive elementary classroom setting. This contract position is ideal for skilled paraprofessionals with a passion for helping children achieve their goals and thrive academically and socially.

You will work directly with two elementary students who require one-on-one assistance throughout the school day. These students benefit from extra guidance for staying engaged in classroom activities, with an emphasis on redirection when needed. Your presence will help create a positive and supportive environment for both learning and growth.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Documented experience in behavior management within an educational setting
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent (strongly preferred)
  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school environment is beneficial
  • Ability to perform toileting and diaper duties with respect and professionalism
  • At least one recent manager reference from within the last 2-3 years must be available upon submission
  • Strong communication skills and a patient, caring demeanor

Role Responsibilities:

  • Work one-on-one with elementary students within the classroom setting from 9:25 AM to 3:50 PM
  • Provide redirection and encouragement to help students stay on task and participate fully in classroom activities
  • Assist with toileting and diapering duties as needed, supporting students’ dignity and comfort
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and staff to ensure a cohesive support plan
  • Document daily progress and observations as directed
