Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, or in a similar support capacity strongly preferred
- Ability to build rapport with children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds
- Skilled in following lesson plans and educator instructions, providing one-on-one or small group support
- Patient, adaptable, and proactive in responding to classroom needs
- Effective communicator with students, teachers, and other school staff
- Willingness to assist in a variety of classroom settings and support both academic and behavioral development
Role Responsibilities:
- Work side-by-side with teachers to deliver instructional and behavioral support for students
- Foster a safe, encouraging, and respectful classroom climate
- Provide small group or individual assistance to students who need extra help
- Help implement classroom activities, monitor student progress, and assist with record-keeping
- Supervise students during transitions, lunch, or recess as directed
- Support students with special needs per their individual plans, ensuring accessibility and engagement
