Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience as a paraprofessional, teacher’s aide, or providing educational support preferred
• Understanding of special education and familiarity with IEPs is helpful
• Ability to work with students of varying ages and abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and a strong sense of responsibility
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in education is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers with instructional activities and lesson implementation
• Work one-on-one or with small groups of students to reinforce lessons or provide individualized support
• Assist in managing classroom behavior and promoting a safe, inclusive environment
• Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) under the direction of certified staff
• Prepare instructional materials, set up classroom equipment, and assist students with assignments or activities
• Provide supervision during lunch, recess, or transitions as needed
• Foster positive relationships and encourage student engagement
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
