1:1 Classroom Assistant | Suncook, New Hampshire

Support an all-boys behavioral center dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the lives of young individuals with high needs. This contract role offers the opportunity to work side-by-side with students as a Paraprofessional, 1:1 aide, Behavior Aide, or RBT, and supports youth in a residential educational environment. Candidates with experience supporting students in behavioral or special education settings are encouraged to apply.

There are multiple shift options available, including weekends and evenings—flexibility and a willingness to cover non-traditional hours is highly valued due to the center's around-the-clock care model. While one school day schedule is available (7:00am–3:00pm), most opportunities fall on evenings, overnights (8:00pm–8:00am), and weekends (Saturday 8:00am–10:00pm, Sunday depending on availability).

Key Qualifications:

• Experience as a Paraprofessional, Behavior Aide, or RBT preferred
• Ability to work closely in a 1:1 setting with boys exhibiting behavioral needs
• Comfortable working in high-needs, residential environments with small groups (11–15 boys)
• Reliability and strong attendance—the center requires dependable team members
• Willingness to work weekend and late or overnight shifts as needed

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct behavioral and academic support to assigned students
• Work collaboratively with other staff to create a safe, supportive environment
• Assist with daily living and learning tasks, ensuring students’ well-being
• Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism
