Desired experience and qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a related school support role
• Familiarity with special education settings and behavioral interventions
• Ability to remain calm, composed, and proactive under challenging circumstances
• Capable of maintaining ongoing supervision and positive engagement
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with bus drivers and school staff
• Dependable and punctual, with reliable transportation for early morning shifts

Role responsibilities:

• Ride the school bus with the assigned student, providing hands-on supervision and support
• Address behavioral incidents gently and professionally, using approved de-escalation methods
• Keep clear, concise documentation of any incidents or progress during the bus ride
• Work collaboratively with transportation and school teams to ensure a safe environment
• Maintain the privacy, dignity, and best interests of the student at all times
