Instructional Assistant - Thibodaux, LA

Support student success as a full-time ASL paraprofessional and sign language interpreter in a welcoming middle school environment near Thibodaux, LA. What You Bring:

• High school diploma required
• Formal certification or documentation verifying proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or sign language interpreter in a school preferred
• Passion for supporting students in general education classrooms
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Dependability and professionalism

Role Highlights:

• Full-time, Monday through Friday, from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Provide one-on-one or group ASL interpretation for middle school students in mainstream classrooms
• Collaborate with teachers to facilitate full participation of students with hearing differences
• Adapt communication style to meet students’ individual needs
• Assist with instructional activities and reinforce learning concepts as directed by educators
• Maintain confidentiality and a supportive educational environment
