An opportunity is available for a full-time paraprofessional to support students at the high school level for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year in Tobyhanna, PA. This role involves working closely with students requiring emotional and behavioral support, providing essential assistance within the classroom setting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting individual students, primarily those with emotional support needs and positive behavior support plans (PBSP).
  • Collaborating with Licensed Occupational Paraeducators and traditional paraprofessionals to implement behavioral strategies and ensure a supportive learning environment.
  • Engaging with students requiring additional adult assistance, helping them navigate their academic and social challenges.
  • Maintaining consistent communication with the educational team to monitor progress and adapt strategies as needed.

Desired qualifications and skills:

  • Experience working with students who have behavioral or emotional support needs.
  • Ability to work empathetically with high school students and manage various caseload demands.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate effectively with school staff and other paraprofessionals.
  • A background or training focused on behavioral interventions and student engagement is highly beneficial.

Location & Schedule:

  • Position based in Tobyhanna, PA.
  • Full-time hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
  • Immediate start, continuing through June 1, 2026.
