Embark on a rewarding role supporting students as a Bus Aide for the upcoming 26/27 school year. This contract opportunity offers a chance to make a daily positive impact by assisting students as they travel to and from school. Key Qualifications:

• Experience as a Paraprofessional or Certified Nursing Assistant
• Skilled at verbal de-escalation, particularly with children with special needs
• Previous experience riding the bus with students with special needs preferred
• Reliable, compassionate, and dedicated to student well-being
• Ability to pass required fingerprint background checks (reimbursed after completion)
• Willingness to complete thorough onboarding

Core Responsibilities:

• Ride in the vehicle with the student(s) to and from school, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the journey
• Accompany the driver to pick up the student at home and assist during drop-off at school and for return trips
• Provide 1:1 or 2:1 support on the bus, attuned to the individual needs of each student
• Utilize calm, effective verbal de-escalation strategies as needed
• Serve as a steady, encouraging presence for students with special needs

Enjoy a consistent, part-time schedule with morning hours typically between 6:30–8:30 am and afternoon shifts from 2:30–4:30 pm, averaging 10–15 hours per week based on route assignments. The assignment runs ASAP through May 28, 2027, with opportunities for Extended School Year participation and strong renewal potential.
