We are seeking compassionate, reliable Bus Aides to support students for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year, with strong potential for renewal into the next academic year and ESY. This role offers the chance to build meaningful connections with students as you assist them on their school journeys.
Your schedule will be 3 hours a day (15 hours weekly): mornings typically between 6:30–8:30 am and afternoons 2:30–4:30 pm. You'll work one-on-one or in small student groups, helping to ensure a safe and supportive ride to and from school. Assignments are located throughout Denver, with a focus on Denver and Northern Denver.
What you’ll bring:
- Background as a Paraprofessional or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Verbal de-escalation skills and familiarity with positive behavior strategies
- Experience working with children or youth with special needs, especially in a transportation or school setting
- Comfort and adaptability with varying pick-up/drop-off times based on the assigned site
- Reliability, patience, and a caring attitude
Your responsibilities:
- Ride in the transport vehicle with students to ensure safety, comfort, and support
- Communicate warmly and professionally with drivers, staff, and students
- Assist students as needed during transitions on and off the vehicle
- Use positive behavioral interventions and de-escalation as necessary
- Model appropriate, respectful behavior at all times
