Your skills as a Paraprofessional will help facilitate a positive learning environment and ensure seamless virtual OT sessions for students. Work alongside dedicated educators and clinicians as you guide and assist students in achieving their fullest potential through remote support.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or in a similar educational support position
- Familiarity with virtual learning platforms and technology
- Experience assisting with Occupational Therapy sessions (preferred, but not required)
- Patience, compassion, and strong communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with students and educational staff
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote setting
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certifications a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students' participation in virtual Occupational Therapy sessions by ensuring materials and technology are accessible
- Collaborate with therapists and educators to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Keep accurate records of student progress and attendance during OT sessions
- Address student questions and encourage engagement in therapeutic activities
- Provide feedback and observations to the therapy team to help guide ongoing interventions
- Maintain confidentiality of student information in accordance with school and legal guidelines
