Step into a pivotal role supporting K-12 students as a full-time paraprofessional on a contract basis, starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 12, 2026. As a valued member of this educational community, you’ll directly impact the growth and daily success of students with diverse needs, including those with special education requirements and behavioral challenges.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• A high school diploma is required
• Valid CPR certification (resources available to obtain if needed)
• Prior experience in a school environment, particularly with SPED students or those exhibiting behavioral challenges
• Ability to work effectively with students from kindergarten to 12th grade
• Proven reliability, professionalism, and the ability to provide references
• Comfortable addressing student needs, including toileting/diapering and elopement prevention
• Flexible, proactive approach to classroom needs and individual student support
• Willingness to obtain or update all necessary Pennsylvania clearances
• Reliable transportation for onsite work
• At ease in an urban educational setting

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored, 1:1 support and educational assistance for students, helping manage behaviors and promote inclusion
• Adapt to evolving needs of students, assisting with both instructional and non-instructional tasks
• Address daily care including toileting and hygiene
• Collaborate with educators and team members to foster an encouraging classroom atmosphere
• Provide safe, engaging supervision to prevent elopement and ensure student well-being
