Classroom Assistant | Vacaville, California

This role calls for an experienced paraprofessional to provide dedicated 1:1 support in a Special Education classroom setting, located conveniently near the Sacramento and Rio Vista area. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-3pm, with an expected start date of Tuesday, 8/25. Candidates must be fully onboarded and able to start within three business days of signing the contract.

Key Qualifications:

• Demonstrated expertise as a paraprofessional, specifically within Special Education classroom environments
• Ability to engage with and support students one-on-one, fostering academic and personal growth
• Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and best practices for SPED support
• Currently fully onboarded and ready for immediate placement (onboarding completed in Bullhorn is required)
• Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all situations

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized academic and behavioral assistance to assigned students
• Implement teacher- and therapist-directed activities, reinforcing lessons and objectives
• Support positive student engagement, inclusion, and participation in class activities
• Assist with personal care needs as applicable, maintaining a safe and supportive environment
• Communicate regularly and effectively with classroom teachers, therapists, and school staff
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as needed
