Para Professional in Vacaville, CA

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students? An exciting contract opportunity is available for skilled paraprofessionals to support diverse learners across multiple settings. This role is based near Vacaville, CA, and runs through early June 2027.

Positions available:

• Itinerant DHH Facilitator: Support students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH) across multiple sites, providing in-person facilitation for virtual DHH services (32 hours/week).
• PreK Special Education Classroom Support (2 positions): Work directly in Special Education preschool classrooms, assisting with instructional needs and providing personal care, including diapering and individualized support (37.5 hours/week each).

Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school or educational setting
• Ability to support both academic and personal care needs of students
• For DHH Facilitator: Familiarity with Deaf/Hard of Hearing supports and a comfort level with virtual learning technology
• For PreK roles: Experience supporting young children, including personal care responsibilities such as diapering
• Flexibility to work across multiple sites as needed
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educational teams

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist certified teachers and specialists in delivering individualized instruction and services
• Offer direct support to students, fostering participation and growth
• Provide necessary personal care and hygiene assistance, maintaining student dignity
• Engage in active supervision and contribute to a safe, welcoming classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with staff and participate in team meetings
