As a paraprofessional, you’ll work closely with a male high school student, providing essential support throughout the school day. Your bilingual (Spanish) skills will be highly valued as you contribute to an inclusive learning environment.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional, especially in school settings
- Experience supporting students with moderate to severe needs
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish (required)
- Ability to work effectively one-on-one, tailoring support to individual needs
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a nurturing demeanor
- Male candidates are preferred for this specific assignment
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer individualized assistance to the assigned student during classroom activities
- Implement behavior and academic goals as set by educational staff
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment
- Assist with daily living tasks, communication needs, and mobility when necessary
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to maximize the student’s success
- Maintain accurate documentation of progress and support needs
The assignment runs from ASAP through June 9, 2027, with a weekly schedule of 30-35 hours per week and school hours from 7:07 am to 2:10 pm.
