Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or Behavior Aide in school settings strongly preferred
- Strong ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships with students, staff, and families
- Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude when addressing behavioral and educational needs
- Flexibility and adaptability in changing classroom situations
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education or related fields a plus
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, one-on-one or small group support to students with behavioral or educational needs
- Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and behavior management strategies
- Encourage the development of independence and self-regulation in students
- Monitor and document student progress and behavior in accordance with school protocols
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students
- Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior management plans
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development
