Key Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or Behavior Aide in school settings strongly preferred
  • Strong ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude when addressing behavioral and educational needs
  • Flexibility and adaptability in changing classroom situations
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education or related fields a plus

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, one-on-one or small group support to students with behavioral or educational needs
  • Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and behavior management strategies
  • Encourage the development of independence and self-regulation in students
  • Monitor and document student progress and behavior in accordance with school protocols
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students
  • Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior management plans
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development
