Instructional Assistant - Waconia, MN

This contract position is ideal for those interested in meaningful work assisting children in classroom settings. Several paraprofessionals are needed for both the current and extended school year programs, with flexible scheduling options available to accommodate your needs.

Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with children with disabilities and/or in classroom or educational environments is preferred
• An associate’s degree, completion of 60 semester credits, or a passing score on the ParaPro assessment is required
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to supporting students’ unique learning needs
• Ability to adapt to varied schedules and classroom dynamics

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teachers and staff to foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Provide academic and behavioral support to students, both individually and in small groups
• Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and classroom activities
• Maintain a safe, engaging learning space
• Support students during transitions, activities, and mealtimes as needed

Details:

• Multiple positions are available, offering full or half-day shifts based on program requirements
• Monday through Thursday, typically 7:30 am to 2:00 pm (may vary by program)
• Contract dates: June 15th – June 30th and July 9th – July 23rd
