Paraprofessional in Warren, MI

A full-time 1:1 ASD Paraprofessional position is available to support a middle school student with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in a contract role for the current school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized assistance to a middle school student with ASD, supporting academic and social development
• Implement accommodations for a student with limited reading and writing abilities
• Collaborate with teaching staff to adapt materials and strategies to meet individual needs
• Monitor student progress and communicate observations to educators and specialists
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment tailored to the student’s requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder
• Ability to implement and follow accommodations for students with unique learning challenges
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support the student and collaborate with the educational team
• Patience, empathy, and dedication to student success
