Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• At least one year of experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with supporting elementary-age students, particularly in 1:1 capacities
• Ability to adapt to a student’s unique academic and behavioral needs with patience and empathy
• Strong organizational skills and clear communication abilities with teachers, specialists, and families
• Reliable, punctual, and collaborative work ethic
• Compliance with local and state background check and credentialing requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide consistent 1:1 instructional and behavioral support to an assigned elementary student
• Implement teacher and specialist-directed strategies to help the student achieve educational and social milestones
• Assist with classroom transitions, activities, and ensuring the student’s safety and well-being
• Foster a positive, encouraging relationship to boost confidence and engagement
• Document daily progress and collaborate with the educational team to support student goals
