Instructional Aide in Warwick, RI

Exciting opportunity for a compassionate Paraprofessional to support elementary-aged students in an intensive classroom setting near Warwick, RI. This contract role runs through June 2027 and involves working 31.25 hours per week onsite within a dedicated K-3rd grade environment. You’ll be part of a collaborative team assisting 11 students with various needs, including language challenges and autism spectrum disorders. Six teaching assistants work together to create a supportive and positive atmosphere, rotating responsibilities as a cohesive group.

Key Qualifications:

• Paraprofessional experience in a school setting strongly preferred
• Meets Rhode Island Department of Education requirements for Paraprofessionals
• Comfortable with all aspects of personal care, including assisting with toileting and diapering
• Open to working with students with diverse learning and behavioral needs (language differences, ASD, other disabilities)
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with other TAs and teachers

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on support to individual students and small groups within the classroom
• Assist with personal and educational needs, including toileting and diaper changes
• Collaborate to implement classroom routines and behavior support strategies
• Participate in group activities and support classroom instruction as directed by teachers
• Foster an inclusive, respectful, and engaging environment
