Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or working with children in schools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow educational plans and support teachers effectively
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable to students’ diverse needs
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in education or a related field is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer direct support to students individually or in small groups, fostering engagement in classroom activities
- Assist lead teachers with instructional tasks, classroom management, and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) when necessary
- Help maintain a positive and organized classroom environment
- Support students with special needs, ensuring inclusion and accessibility
- Supervise students during transitions, lunchtime, and other activities throughout the day
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to create an enriching environment for all learners
