Instructional Aide - Waterbury, CT

Support students and educators as a paraprofessional working within a dynamic school environment on a contract basis. Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional, teaching assistant, or working with students in an educational or care setting
• Ability to implement teacher-directed activities and support students one-on-one or in small groups
• Patience, adaptability, and excellent communication skills
• Familiarity with classroom routines, basic academic support, and behavior management strategies
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework or relevant certifications preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers with instruction, classroom supervision, and preparation of materials
• Provide direct support to students who may require extra help or specific accommodations
• Help maintain a positive and organized classroom environment
• Offer encouragement and guidance to students throughout the school day
