Desired Qualifications:

• Valid paraprofessional certification in the state of Georgia
• Previous experience working in school or classroom settings preferred
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teachers, students, and staff
• Calm, patient demeanor and excellent communication skills
• Willingness to assist with classroom management, academic needs, and behavioral support
• Adaptable to working 1:1 with students as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Support SPED teachers in self-contained, adapted classrooms
• Assist with individual and group student activities, reinforcing learning and life skills
• Provide guidance and stability for students who may display challenging behaviors
• Participate in classroom routines, meal times, and transitions throughout the school day
• Work closely with students, sometimes in a 1:1 setting, in collaboration with classroom staff
• Contribute to the implementation of students’ Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
