This role is tailored for someone who enjoys making a difference in early childhood education and is eager to provide individualized support to a preschool student in a caring, school-based setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional or teacher’s aide, ideally within a school environment
- Strong background or interest in working 1:1 with preschool-aged children
- Comfortable assisting with daily care, including diaper changes
- Experience supporting students with behavioral or developmental needs is a plus
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and school staff
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, individualized support for a preschool student throughout the school day
- Assist with classroom activities, play-based learning, and daily routines
- Implement behavior plans and reinforce positive behaviors as directed by school professionals
- Offer support with hygiene needs, including diapering and toileting
- Help foster social, emotional, and academic development in a nurturing manner
- Document daily student progress and communicate updates to the teaching team
